Sherwood Elementary

2015 Project Team of the Year

80,000 sq. ft. replacement elementary consisting of structural steel, concrete masonry, and precast. Building features open spaces, interactive learning classrooms and a gymnasium designed to meet the structural requirements of a FEMA 361 Safe Room. A unique feature is the partnership with the Boys and Girls Club, making Sherwood the first school in the state of Missouri to have a dedicated BGC as part of the school building. The building is Net Zero capable, utilizing very little energy and can be powered completely by solar panels and wind turbines.
