Mercy Hospital Operating Room #10
This project consists of the complete demolition of an existing Bi-Plane Angiography room to convert it into a large 800 sq.ft. surgery room housing DaVinci robots. Work consists of building the new surgery sterile field, installation of Stryker Med-Gas and monitor, equipment booms, revamping the corridor for DaVinci storage, new ceramic tile walls and a new resinous floor.
Operating Room #10 shares a wall with a neurosurgery room and is located behind the sterile field of the surgery suite and directly above the Angiography suite on the second floor. Trash and demolition debris cannot be taken out of the room through the suite. Trash and supplies come in through the operating room’s third floor window. Demolition of the space must be done with attention to the surgery schedule and potential emergencies that take precedent over demolition.
