The recent opening of the new commons area completes the first phase of a $19.25 million renovation and expansion of Kickapoo. First phase of construction included HVAC improvements and new Student Center. HVAC work was completed entirely over summer break along with a kitchen & cafeteria remodel. New Student Center was built within an existing courtyard in the middle of the building, while classes were in session on each side of the project.
